Melanie started dancing at the age of 2 1/2 at Sunshine Kiddies under Peggy and Lesley Dyer in Gosport. When the school closed she then moved to Alverstoke School of Dance and was taught by  Mrs Piggot, Miss Vikki and Mrs Knight-Ellis. Melanie completed all her exams in RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern. While dancing she also took park in many festivals around the country qualifying for the All England Dance Competition and the ISTD Tap awards. She also took part in many professional Pantomimes and Dance productions in the Hampshire area.  After taking some time away from dancing and raising a family, Melanie became involved choreographing acrobatic routines at PGC Acro (previously known as Phoenix Acro) during her time  here, she took her assistant coaching qualifications in acrobatic gymnastics, gaining her a better insight in acrobatics.
